Doug Smith (Chief)

-We have approx $1500 extra budget to put towards something

·        We don’t need to buy training supplies because we can share w/ the nursing dept (Kevin)

·        We could possibly put the money towards sweatshirts, radios or uniform pants.

-The Officer on Call system needs to be revived because Kevin is responding again this semester.  It will include the line officers or former officers, and will be on a weekly schedule.

-We have the Activities Fair next Wednesday (2/1/06) from 12-3pm and are sharing a table with RHA.

-We are down one crew chief because of the resignation of Matt Grabina.

·        Kevin made a motion to accept the letter of resignation, 2nd by Ricky, unanimously accepted by the board.

-We are working towards having a printsense account and H drive to keep all of our records together.

-Physicals are no longer required each year for all members – only for those with preexisting conditions such as asthma, etc.

-We have a CPR class coming up on Feb 4 for EMTs and Nursing students only. There will be more classes coming in the spring, including first aid for the general campus community to participate in.

-Hazmat awareness and WMD (Cburn?) CEUs are now required for recertification.

  • They are available at njlearning.com
  • The courses are free online to registered EMTs by registering with SSN
