Nicole (Chief/President)

            Coverage needed for Saturday night/Sunday day shift this coming weekend

            Coverage also needed over the weekend of Rosh Hashanah

            Comedy show at 8pm tomorrow

                        Standby crew: Nicole Gerber

            Activities Fair

-Need volunteers to sit at the table from 12-3 with various pieces of closet paraphernalia

                                    Jim will organize this.

            Website needs updating

                                    Tom will do this.

            T-shirts

                        Will we charge money for them?

                                    Discussion ensues

                                    We will charge $15 for the shirts - extra cash will go towards ID’s

            ID Cards – Andres will work on this.

            Duty crews

                        People on call should check in with crew chief on their night

                        Equipment must be picked up by 8pm and returned by 3pm

-We need to enforce this so people aren’t looking for equipment that isn’t there.

            Membership forms – Tom will bring (50) copies of new and returning member forms.

            For the first meeting (9/6/06 3.30pm, New Res Main Lounge)

                        Intro to EMS stations:

                                    “Orange Bag Tours” – Jay

                                    CEUs/Classes/Applications – Regina

                                    Radio Use/Etiquette – George

                                    Being on a Crew – Jessica

            Equipment Captain

                        -Has to be a crew chief

-Most important thing for us to watch out for before we have a new equipment captain is the oxygen levels, and to check any orders that have already been received.

-For now, Andres and George will do this together.

Meetings this year

            Meetings can contain a “meeting” section and an “activity” section

                        Possible drills/activities

                                    “get to know your crew” activities

                                    repeat the radio etiquette drill

                                    oxygen usage

                                    bandaging and splinting

                                    documentation

                                    bloodborne pathogens (Brian Webb)

                                    mass casualty/triage drill

                                    ems jeopardy (?)

Campus Police Relations

-We would like to have a social event with campus police to improve/maintain good relations with campus police

-Event may happen more than once so all officers have the chance to attend

                        -Jessica will contact Campus PD to find out about interest

                        -Jim will plan the event, food, etc.

 

Regina (Training)

            -Will schedule a CEU/Core 13/EMT course – need to know how many people will be attending before a definite course can be scheduled.

                        -PHTLS a possible CEU option

            -CPR classes in conjunction with Pennington Road also a possibility, especially so we can continue providing CPR recerts for our members and the nursing students.

 

Mike (Treasurer)

            Will be attending passport to programming with George on Sept 9th

                The glasses can either be paid for out of petty cash or standby money

-If standby money is used, the petty cash can be used to mail out remaining senior gifts.

(Mike/Regina) – working on potentially returning/exchanging the new crew chief bag for one that isn’t orange.

            Current fundraising ideas include:

                        Food

                                    A bake sale, etc may require special planning and permission.
