Working on labeling and inventory of radios and all shirts
George Apostolopoulos (Deputy Chief)
Standbys for this weekend – still some open spots
SOPs have no minimum requirements for membership
Need to come up with some standards
For standbys, there will be a minimum amount.
Crew chiefs will have a greater number of required standbys.
-Suggestions: 2-3 for general members, 4-5 for CC’s, or 1 per month. Fundraising activities can count.
Passport to Programming
Didn’t
mention any required
-Perhaps we need to spread the word that we should be invited to standby at larger events
-However, this may not be happening because we don’t transport, so we can’t force the school to set a policy that includes us.
Circulated preliminary copy of standby form
Form is designed to keep track of what happens at standby events
The Frisbee team may make a donation to us for working their tournament last weekend.
CPR
Classes are
being organized right now with
-Working on getting headcounts of who needs new CPR and who needs a recert.
Also sent an email about getting a Core 13/EMT class organized
Will work with Kevin on getting First Aid class organized
Also working on Bloodborne Pathogens drill with Brian Webb
To be held during a LEMS meeting
There has been some confusion with getting a
standby crew for
Jay Preciado (Exec VP)
Membership applications – working on getting everything organized
Need T-shirt money, copies of certifications – Jess will send emails.
Mike Rossetti (Treasurer)
Paid for glasses two weeks ago – check hasn’t cleared yet
Left over money, $39.33, went to the fundraising account
We spent $232 on the glasses, we may have some more money coming soon from standbys.
Called the company that sent us the crew chief bag, the bag we ordered doesn’t come in blue
We will label the new bag “Crew Chief” and put it into service soon
The old bag will become a standby bag
We can get a new oxygen tank so both crew chief bags will have one.
Will submit a request for new radios by Friday
Radios will come from Capital Health Budget
Jessica Paciorek (Secretary)
Membership directory, attendance records and birthday list (J) are all up to date.
-Will email everyone once next week’s meeting is done and more people are added.
-Will also send reminder emails to everyone to get their forms and copies of certs to Jay.
Thank you to everyone who helped at the activities fair – we had a lot of new members sign up!
We are signed up for a table at community fest on October 17th
We need volunteers to work at the table
Campus Police Party
Still waiting for a response to email.
Patch Trade project for our message board in health services
Do we have any LEMS patches?
How much would it cost to get some?
Possibility of having a Halloween party
Do we have an NJFAC liason
Will talk to Kevin to find out more about it
Will attend the meetings as our representative
Andres Acosta (Growth)
Will start a committee to go over the Res Life portion of our SOPs
Looking for a Res Life contact person
Will contact Pauline Toth (toth@tcnj.edu) to get started
May involve Campus PD also
Had the opportunity to talk to an SGA member about getting some of our benefits approved (golf cart, ready room)
We may or may not want to do this – we should do it ourselves, rather than through SGA
We need to have a proper proposal with statistics and our reasoning prepared before we do this.
Jay will help with ‘wish list’
How can we get a room in BSC (like UL or BSU has)
Kelly Gilsenan (Fundraising)
Six Flags is mailing paperwork to be filled out
-The mail will be delivered either
to the
Will look into the Loop Bus
No news on website.
For community fest we will be doing BP screenings
Will put together or find a pamphlet on “what does my blood pressure mean”, etc.
Nicole (President)
First meeting went really well.
Need coverage in 2 weeks for weekend rotation.
Next meeting plans
Many suggestions:
Crew “races”
Bandaging
Backboarding
These will involve a teaching and “doing” component, with crew chiefs as the “victims”.
We can do a documentation ‘drill’ – we need scenarios
There are many in the back of EMT books
*Nicole will finalize activity plans for next week.
There is no timeline for co-crew chiefs to become crew chiefs – it is whenever they feel comfortable and are ready.
