Minutes

Nicole Gerber (Chief)

Yearbook photo will be next Wednesday in the student center

Ask people to wear t shirts/sweatshirts

We have been offered free sexual assault and violence training by James Lopez, through the campus antiviolence office.

We would like to have this program at one of our meetings

Cubicle

Still waiting to hear whether we are getting the large cubicle or whether RHA is getting it.

We have to think about whether or not we can even use the small one – it may be too small

-We should keep whatever we get or else it looks bad – we might get denied for future requests.

The cubicles are near to the mailboxes.

Assignments moved out of south – there are now vacant spaces

We need to figure out who to talk to about potentially getting this space as an office or a squad room.

Regina and Andres will talk to people in Res Life for us

George Apostolopoulos (Deputy Chief)

Editing the SOPs

            Impeachment clause

                        Disciplinary board

                                    This section needs rewriting

We need to think about how we are going to structure this section so all the power isn’t concentrated in the hands of the eboard

Process should include hearings, multiple votes, and input from the general membership

George and Jay and Andres will work on drafting appropriate language

This is also the process we will be using for getting people off crews when they are not doing their job, in addition to executive board members who do not fulfill their responsibilities.

            Crew Chief Status

Need to set up actual requirements for becoming a crew chief

Discussion ensues on how to determine when someone has had enough experience.

Voting by other crew chiefs on a member being made a crew chief

George, Jay and Andres will work on appropriate language for this section also.

Standby requirement

Two for regular members, four for co-CC’s and five for CCs, per semester.

We need to advertise member benefits and the reasons we want people to do standbys better

Guaranteed housing, first choice of concert standbys, the banquet

We should announce these at the next meeting anyway.

Crew chiefs need to get in touch with their crews more often from now on

Emails to make sure everyone is getting their equipment

If switching a shift with another crew chief, make sure to email the crew and cc the crew chief who is covering, so that everyone has a way of getting in touch with each other and knows what is going on.

            Standby money from Bruce

His mom is apparently sending it to us

                        It hasn’t arrived yet

Regina Cummings (Training)

Will email people whose CPR is expired

Will make sure they get into a class, or temporarily not allow them to respond to calls until they get into a CPR class – they will not be removed from the schedule.

Crew chiefs who may have members not responding because of this will be informed.

Will have paperwork next week with information on the EMT course through Capital Health for the spring semester

We need a head count for the class

People in the class will need to get parking decals.

Blood Borne Pathogens drill is next week

Need strongly worded email making sure people attend

Need attendance records afterwards to confirm how many members were there

No location yet for Core 13

Nursing students have been emailing/asking about CPR classes

Jay Preciado (Executive VP)

Will be calling the t-shirt company because the shirts still haven’t arrived.

Gave the list of people whose CPR is expired to Regina

Will have another list of people who are missing copies of certifications for the next meeting

Sweatshirts will be worked on after the t-shirt order arrives

Jessica Paciorek (Secretary)

Overly long story about the banner that actually had very little substance.

The graphics are getting re-done by Eve in campus life because it needs to be in a file format that can be blown up without getting too pixely.

Have been in touch with the banner company and will get prices, etc once the graphics are done.

Andres Acosta (Growth)

Will be meeting with Sean Stallings to go over the Res Life portion of the SOPs

            Tuesday, November 14 at 1.30pm

Regina and possibly George will also attend

Will also try to discuss the south office if possible.

Jim Garvey (VP for Member Services)

We received a thank you note and t-shirt from community fest

The next state First Aid Council meeting for our district will be at Nottingham Ambulance company – In Hamilton, NJ

            November 15th, 7.30pm

Patches – Mina was originally involved in this

He also hasn’t been receiving any emails – we need to look into why.

Training/pizza party even for the end of the semester

            Jeopardy game

Jessica and Regina will help with planning

TCNJ Holiday

We should participate – it is good to show the campus community that we are involved

Will fill out application – current plan is for candycane reindeer.

Participants make two – one gets donated, one they can keep.

Mike Rossetti (Treasurer)

We paid the bill for the AED battery - $112.50

Talked to Omar at SFB about club sports and payment for standbys

Will be meeting with the liaison again tomorrow

We have $220 for CPR instructor training

We need to use it or it will be taken away

We probably can keep it for this year but we need to spend it or else we wont get this line in our budget for next year.

Would be most beneficial if we could get responsible freshmen or sophomores into the class, that way the organization has an instructor for the next few years.

Regina will check dates for instructor classes

Crew chiefs should recommend people they feel would be good – talk to them personally

Kelly Gilsenan

Coldstone fundraiser is on November 29th – mailbox stuffers?
