Scott Pioli LTV President
Scott Pioli
President/Station Manager

Scott discovered TCNJ's television news program, The Journal, in the fall of 2006, his sophomore year. He began his tenure with the show as a reporter and teleprompter operator. When the director stepped down, Scott took on this responsibility and reformatted the show to better suit students' interests. With a new focus on delivering both information and entertainment for the campus community, the show was renamed Lions Now. He not only changed the show's name but brought on a new staff of enthusiastic students. Fall '07 proved to be a great success for Lions Now and led to the creation of TCNJ's first television station, LTV. Lions Television quickly became one of the school's biggest media outlets. This progress took only two years and has been an amazing experience for Scott, a senior communication studies major (public and mass communication) with a minor in creative writing. He spent the summer of 2008 in the internship program at CNBC, where he assisted in field productions that included live interviews with John McCain, Derek Jeter, and Warren Buffett. Scott hopes to become an executive producer in both the television and movie industries.

Matt Urich LTV VP
Matthew Uhrich
VP / Program Director

Matt joined LTV when it was still known as the Journal in the fall of 2006. He was an active participant that semester (as much as you could be). In the spring, he traveled to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England but came back in the fall of 2007 ready to jump head first into what had become Lions Now. He was important in the creation of LTV, and served as its Vice-President during the spring of 2008. He is the producer of At the Movies, and has taken on a new challenge as co-producer of Brainstorm'd Comedy for the fall of 2008. Matt is a senior communication studies (radio, TV, film) major interested in sports broadcasting production.

Amanda Merced, LTV Secretary
Amanda Merced
Secretary

Amanda is currently a Senior Communication Studies Major at the college. After taking Intro to TV Production, the showbiz bug made its appearance and bit her. Since then, she has worked with LTV as publicity chair (now secretary) and helped out behind the scenes on countless tapings and events. She has had experience operating studio cameras, being assistant director, technical director, assisting with lighting and audio, and of course being a grip. “At the Movies” and the concert series are by far her favorite shows to work on. It is a learning experience for everyone at LTV and Amanda would love to see more people come join the fun.

Natasha Srinivasan
Treasurer

Natasha is a sophomore Marketing major with hopeful minors in Psychology and Accounting. She is also in the Honors program as well as a semi-active member of Indian Student Association. She first heard of LTV the beginning of her sophomore year during Club Fair. She signed her name on the email list and never looked back. Previous to LTV, she had absolutely no television experience. However, she wanted to get an insight into TV production since she wants to do advertising and media-affiliated work when she graduates. Gently pushed by Marquita Harris, the fundraiser, she learned the ropes and became involved in the various areas of TV production. She is enjoying her position on the E Board as treasurer, even though she does not have as much work to do as some of the other E Board members. She loves LTV dearly since the people are amazing(ly crazy). One day she wants to rule the world by hypnotizing everyone via television and she will have LTV to thank for her success.

Tristan Kamrad, LTV Technical Manager
Tristan Kamrad
Technical Manager

Tristan is going into his sixth semester as a Communications Studies major in the Radio/TV/Film track. He has been a part of LTV since its resurrection over a year ago. During his time at TCNJ he has taken various TV and film production courses which include Intro to TV studio, Motion Picture 1 and 2, Languages of Film and Television, and The Art of Editing. Working with Scott and others, he has been a part of LTV as much as possible. Won Cal Ripken, Jr. award last semester for near perfect attendance.

Mel Medina Production Manager
Mel Medina
Production Manager

Mel is a Sophomore Communication Studies major in the Radio, TV, and Film track. Active from the first Lions Now meeting in the fall of her Freshman year, she started her LTV career off by painstakingly writing the club's Constitution over winter break. During its inaugural semester, she served as the LTV Secretary, but was active in almost every aspect of LTV. She is taking on production of Videograms, a concept she developed and is continuing on as co-producer of the WTSR Concert Series for the second straight semester. Perhaps her most burning desire is for someone to break up with their boyfriend/girlfriend via LTV Videogram; her boyfriend begs the public to oblige or he will be first to go. Though LTV owns her, Mel hopes to one day own LTV. She looks forward to future success with LTV - even though she was too lazy to write her own bio (thanks, anonymous bio-writer!).

Maria Montroni, Talent/Script Supervisor
Maria Montroni
Talent/Script Supervisor

Maria Montroni is a Senior Communication Studies major at TCNJ. She is currently an active member of All College Theatre, Alpha Psi Omega, and the French Club, as well as the Talent and Script Supervisor for Lions Television. She graduated in 2005 from Paramus Catholic High School in Paramus, NJ, where she was a founding member of the Paladin News Network. In her role as Talent and Script Supervisor, Maria hopes to do more than put pretty faces on TV. (But if you're interested, send an email to talent.script.ltv@gmail.com.)

Charlie Betcher, News Director
Charlie Betcher
News Director

Charlie Betcher is a senior at the college and is studying Public and Mass Communications with a minor in marketing. He has been working for LTV since his sophomore year and currently holds the title of news director and produces both Lions Now and the Hot Corner. As a junior he held the title of Production Manager and produced the Hot Corner. Charlie has done a lot of different work for the station besides his executive board duties, ranging from on air talent to in studio production, and has directed episodes of both Lions Now and the Hot Corner. Charlie is an avid sports fan who tries to use his knowledge and passion in the production of the Hot Corner. In his spare time he enjoys spending time at the Brodeo.

Matt Owen, Co-Post Production Manager
Matt Owen
Co-Post Production Manager

Matt, who is set to graduate in the Spring of 2009, is looking forward to his final year with LTV. A Communications Studies major, Matt has worked on all facets of television and film production. After spending last year as Technical Manager, Matt has set his sites on post-production for LTV, and plans on upholding the high level of quality that LTV has established for itself. Matt is also currently producing LTV's "The Early Late Show."

Mary Michalopolous, Co-Post Production Manager
Mary Michalopolous
Co-Post Production Manager

Mary Michalopoulos is a senior majoring in Communication Studies under the TV/Film track, as well as a History major and Anthropology minor. She has worked on numerous school projects both in the mediums of film, video, and theater; and has taken on various roles, including, but not limited to, producer, director, screenwriter, editor, camera operator, audio technician, and talent. The projects she is most proud of would include, a documentary on New Orleans, entitled, “The Road to Recovery,” and a self-written and award winning one act, entitled, “Memories in the Clouds.” Currently she is working on a documentary on Chambersburg with Dr. Susan Ryan of the Communication Department, as well as collaborating with other friends to write and shoot a new drama. Here, at Lions Television, she serves on the executive board as one of the co-chairs of Post-Production department. This position requires her and her co-chair to over see or edit all projects, make sure content and quality are acceptable to be aired, and act as liaison to the Information Technology department that airs all our productions. Though, she is a senior, she will not be graduating for another year. This gives her the opportunity to stay involved with LTV and to see it through as long as she can, being involved in the same capacity or more if possible. This is something she is really looking forward to. Though, unsure where she will find herself when she does graduate, she hopes to combine her love for film and history, to make films that entertain and excite audiences, as well as documentaries that expose the unknown and mobilize the masses into action.

Arno Miller, Publicist
Arno Miller
Publicist

Arno is a sophomore Criminal Justice major and was sucked into LTV’s “hot” vortex in the second semester of my freshman year. Then again he couldn’t help getting sucked in, his father is a television engineer and television seems to run through his blood. Either way, he was elected publicist for the station and takes on his seemingly endless duties with gusto. Though the rest of the board has been busy trying to convince him to change his major to communications, his father won’t allow him to suffer the same fate as he did by being a television engineer. Good luck to the rest of the board with their future. They have no clue what awaits. Suckers.

Jessica Virga
Historian

Jessica is a freshman double majoring in Communication Studies and Italian Linguistics. With plans of becoming active with Lions Television from before even starting her first semester at The College of New Jersey, Jessica was sucked in by the LTV force field and has become an active member. When a spot opened up on the E-board Jessica jumped at the opportunity to be the club’s historian, and only freshman on the board. She is co-producer for the WTSR Concert Series and is excited to learn more about television production. Jessica loves working behind the camera as well as being in front of it. She secretly dreams of being the future Kaity Couric, and being a morning show host, so watch out for her in a couple years!

Marquita Harris, Fundraiser
Marquita Harris
Fundraiser
Marquita Harris is a Communication Studies Major with a Concentration in Interpersonal/Organizational Communication and an utter lack of experience in the television field. Urged by a strong willed woman trying to get LTV off the ground, she was brought into this crazy world where nothing made sense, everything was to be learned, and great experiences were to be had. While embarrassingly green, she thoroughly enjoyed her first semester as the appointed Fundraiser of the up-and-coming student run station. Funds were not raised, but effort was exerted, and she continues to hold the title. She looks forward to an educational and rewarding future with LTV, and to one day be promoted to Secretary...as long as there is no more Constitution writing.

Alex Zukovich Webmaster
Alex Zukovich
Webmaster

Alex is a senior Interactive Multimedia major who first heard of LTV in the Fall of his junior year. He became fully engulfed in the whirlwind that is LTV in the Spring semester and has never looked back. He has taken on many roles in the station including camera operator, editer, and numerous other facets of post production. He is currently holding the position of LTV's Webmaster where he is responsible for creating (with help from the rest of the crew) the site you are viewing right now, as well as uploading videos to our YouTube account. He is looking forward to a very busy season of LTV.
