What roles do student research assistants (PSY390/PSY492)

have in the Memory and Aging Lab?

Students are involved in:

  • Helping design research studies
  • Recruiting older adults from the community
  • Collecting data (running participants)
  • Analyzing data (with training!)
  • Reading current research on memory
  • Weekly meetings to discuss our research

Advanced 492 students may also:

  • Implement their own studies
  • Co-author manuscripts
  • Manage the lab

Is this lab right for me?

If you are:

  • dependable
  • commited
  • attentive to details
  • motivated
  • responsible

If you often wonder about:

  • Why are some things remembered so well and others so poorly?
  • Why do older adults have difficult remembering things?
  • Why certain aspects are unharmed by age?

If you are seeking experience in cognitive psychology research...

Then, yes! This experience is right for you!
