TCNJ MINI BAJA 2012
Welcome

.

The objective of the TCNJ Baja Team is to construct an off-road vehicle that can compete in a variety of dynamic tests. The intercollegiate competition intends to simulate real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges. Each team is competing to have its design accepted for manufacture by a fictitious firm. The competition covers events including: design and cost report, acceleration, land maneuverability, tractor pull, all culminating in a four hour endurance race.

The Mini Baja competition is hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in Auburn, Alabama on April 21st and 22nd. The construction of the vehicle involves research, design, analysis, system coordination, fabrication and testing. The engineering principles, standards and codes are required to create a safely operating vehicle. The fabrication of the vehicle is done on campus requiring many hours of metalwork, assembly and ultimately testing.
