Welcome to the home of the 2006 TCNJ Mini Baja team. We are currently in the final phase of construction and as seen in the above picture the Junior team has nearly completed their entry and have begun testing. Click on the image of their car to see a video showing the car in action.
This year TCNJ will attend the Mini Baja East competition from April 12-15 2006. The
competition is being organized by Auburn University.

As stated by the Society of Automotive Engineers, Mini Baja is an
intercollegiate engineering design competition for undergraduate and
graduate engineering students. The objective of the competition is to
simulate real-world engineering design projects and their related challenges.
Each team is competing to have its design accepted for manufacture by a
fictitious firm. The students must function as a team to design, build,
test, promote and compete with a vehicle within the limits of the rules, also
to generate financial support for their project and manage their educational
priorities. Each team’s goal is to design and build a prototype of a rugged,
single seat, off-road recreational vehicle intended for sale. The vehicle must
be safe, easily transported, easily maintained and fun to drive. It should be
able to negotiate rough terrain in all types of weather without damage.
