New Jersey Municipal Training Opportunities Database

Submission Procedure

  1. MLUC is in the process of identifying potential course providers and developing a database list of such organizations.
  2. Invitations will be sent to those organizations, inviting them to register as a course provider.
  3. MLUC staff will provide the identification and login to those organizations identified in MLUC’s database.
  4. Organizations absent from the database list will be reviewed and approved by the MLUC Director.
  5. Providers with logins and passwords will be able to go on line and submit a course for consideration.
  6. MLUC staff will review the course content based on selection criteria. Those courses that meet the selection criteria will be added to the database.
  7. MLUC will include a disclaimer on the events calendar website that will note that MLUC is not endorsing any course and is providing the information on training opportunities as a community service.
  8. If problems with course content/deliver or quality become known, MLUC reserves the right to remove the providers’ database entry privileges.
  9. For-profit courses providers will be prohibited in posting courses that are located outside of New Jersey or its major metropolitan areas that include parts of New Jersey. The expressed intent is to focus primarily on New Jersey-relevant listings for the profit-sector.

Terms of Service

Courses/Programs should be considered for inclusion in the New Jersey Municipal Training Opportunities Database based on the following criteria. (These criteria are independent of whether the course is offered by a for-profit or a non-profit or academic institution.)

  1. The target audience for the database is municipal governments—elected officials, volunteers, staff and professionals who serve municipalities as well as municipal residents.
  2. Courses will be assessed on meeting training/education/information need(s) of municipalities.
  3. Courses that do not relate to municipalities or training/education/information content needs will be considered as not meeting the posting criteria.
