Alex Raymond Many works submitted have accompanying graphics or multimedia clips that enhance the piece. We want contributors to be able to send these along with text, but since we do not know the submitter, we need to make sure that the files are not malicious. The College currently has a firewall which restricts uploading from outside parties, but this would also restrict their ability to upload files necessary to the piece. We want to find a way to allow the system to work with this firewall so that important files can be included with a piece while still ensuring security of the server. How can the interface be made more user-friendly? Karen DelDuca User interfaces are crucial to an application since they provide a gateway for the user to interact with the system. A poorly designed interface may lead to minimal functionality of a system even if it has extensive features implemented because the user cannot access them. The current administration interface of Unbound is limited, and it lacks an appearance consistent with the rest of the system. We would like to enhance it to provide features such as the ability to provide related links for an article and the ability to use templates for articles as opposed to manually hand-coding different designs.
