Rosalind Erwin
Conductor, TCNJ Concert Band
Rosalind Erwin received her Bachelor's degree from The New School of Music in Philadelphia, and Masters degree from The Esther Boyer College of Music at Temple University, where she was a scholarship student of Anthony Gigliotti. As a clarinetist, she soloed with the Pittsburgh Symphony, performed as an extra with the Philadelphia Orchestra, and was a very active chamber musician. She studied conducting with some of the greats of the podium, including Lorin Maazel, Joseph Barone, Leonard Slatkin, David Zinman and Riccardo Muti, and was honored by the Leopold Stokowsky Memorial Conducting Competition of the Philadelphia Orchestra. Erwin is the founder of Musica 2000 – The Symphony Orchestra, recent Music Director of the Pottstown Symphony and is a guest conductor of numerous orchestras and festivals, both here and abroad. Recently, Erwin led the Sinfonijski orkestar Hvratska vojske in Zagreb, Croatia, inaugurating Croatia’s entry into NATO, sponsored in part by the US Embassy. This spring Erwin will be featured guest conductor for the PMEA All-State Symphony Orchestra. Rosalind Erwin is represented by C&K Artists UG, Germany.
