Location: The University of Exeter is situated on one of the most attractive campuses in Britain, in a city rated one of the best places to live in the UK. It is surrounded by the beaches, moorland and countryside which make Devon and Cornwall one of Europe’s top tourist destinations. Most of our students study on the Streatham Campus, the largest of our three sites, which is built around a country estate overlooking Exeter. The campus is one of the most beautiful in the UK. You will study in a superb green environment with lakes, woodland, parkland and gardens with many rare species of plants and trees – yet Exeter’s High Street is just a 15-minute walk away! Our students appreciate a safe and enjoyable environment for study in a location that combines the virtues of both a campus and city-centre University.

Course Subjects:

Arab & Islamic Studies, Biological Science, Business and Economics Classics, Ancient History & Theology, Education & Lifelong Learning, Engineering, Computer Science & Mathematics, English, Geography, Archaeology & Earth Resources, Historical, Political and Sociological Studies, Information Technology - Pallas, Law, Modern Languages, Performance Arts (excluding music), Physics, Sport and Health Sciences

**As of October 2005, Exeter will be eliminating its programs in Chemistry, Music and Cognitive science.

Housing:

Most Study Abroad students wish to live in the University’s purpose-built self-catering flats (apartments) and we have some places reserved for them. We are also able to provide a list of privately-owned flats and houses for rent in the city. The staff in our Self-Catering Accommodation Office are always happy to answer any queries you may have.

Special Notes:

Accommodation Office; they will be happy to make the necessary arrangements. Most study bedrooms have a phone and a network/internet link – full details are given in the accommodation brochure. For the year beginning in October 2004 a room in self-catering accommodation costs between £55.23 and £86.52 per week depending on the type of room. The fees cover heating, lighting, hot water, insurance and some cleaning. Self-catering accommodation is normally let for either 39 weeks (term-time and the Christmas and Easter vacations) or 34 weeks (excluding the Easter vacation). However, if you are in Exeter for less than a full year we can usually offer you a place.

The Students' Union is a great place to meet new people and get involved in University life.
