Housing: Room in Halls of Residence are usually grouped into “flats” fro about 6 or 7 people. Students have their own study bedroom and shared use of kitchen and bathroom facilities. The flat will be single sex, but the Halls themselves are mixed. There is also a range of good quality, competitively priced student houses close to all campuses, so it is relatively east to find shared accommodation.

Special Notes: The city of Lancaster is an attractive rural setting in the north west of England, on the fringes of the Lake District. Life in the region is very neighborly, and visitors appreciate the high level of personal safety. The area is ideal for outdoor leisure activities such as hill-walking, climbing and wind-surfing. All study abroad students accepting a place at St. Martin’s College will receive advance information on travel, residence, orientation, etc. Pre-course orientation programs for international students usually include events such as meetings with academic staff, visits to places of interest in the area and a social event arranged by the Student’s Union.
