Basic Student Telephone Service
Basic Student Telephone Service is provided to each residence hall room at no charge. You do not need to submit an application for TCNJ Basic Residence Hall Service.
Basic Student Service includes:
- One telephone set and one phone mailbox per room
- The ability to make and receive on-campus calls only
Basic Student Service does not include:
- The ability to make local, long distance, or toll free calls from the extension
- Incoming calls to be received from off-campus
To receive these services, students must apply for Full Service
All occupants of a room are equally responsible for the condition of the provided telephone set and wiring. Telephone sets and wiring may not be altered except by authorized College personnel. In cases of damaged, altered, or removed telephone or related components, the student occupant(s) assigned to the room will be charged the cost of replacement. The current cost of the digital RolmPhone 120 is $35 (subject to change).
A telephone or answering machine brought from home will be incompatible with our telecommunication system.
Fraudulent use of the telecommunications system, including unauthorized use of authorization codes will not be tolerated. Fraudulent calls will be researched and abusers will be identified and turned over to the proper authorities.
Report any obscene or harassing telephone calls immediately to Campus Police at x2167.
