JAPANESE MINOR at The College of New Jersey

Requirements
The Japanese minor consists of five course units above JPN102, of which at least three must be taken at The College of New Jersey. Japanese language courses taken while on study abroad may count towards the minor, if they are equivalent to TCNJ courses offered as part of the minor.

A minimum grade of C is required in all courses taken to fulfill the minor requirements.

The following courses are required for the Japanese minor: JPN 103, JPN 201, JPN 202, and any two courses at the 300 level except JPN371

Timing
If you are interested in doing a minor in Japanese and will be starting your study of the language with JPN101, consult with your academic advisor as soon as possible to fit the required courses into your course of study here at TCNJ.  Consider including a semester or year of study abroad in Japan as part of your minor program, in order to strengthen your language skills and broaden your knowledge and exprience-base in relation to Japan.

Once you have completed JPN201, contact the Japanese Language Program coordinator (Dr. Didi-Ogren) about filing the necessary paperwork for the minor.
