Department of Public Relations and Communications
It is the mission of the Department of Public Relations and Communications to guide the College's internal and external communications, media relations, publications, photography, videography, graphic design, Web design, and sports information initiatives while supporting those of other College offices, departments, and programs.
In addition, the Department of Public Relations and Communications promotes the image and mission of the College, and its identity as one of the nation's finest undergraduate public institutions, to internal and external constituencies. The Department of Public Relations and Communications also supports the College's external relations and marketing functions.
The Department of Public Relations and Communications is comprised of four primary areas:
- Media Relations and Marketing
- Publications and Creative Services
- Sports Information
- Web and Multimedia Initiatives
Annually the Department of Public Relations and Communications manages projects ranging from the creation of marketing and informational publications to the conduct of major media, sports, and public relations activities. Our projects are prioritized based on our office mission, the potential impact on the College's institutional image, and the needs of the Office of the President and the Board of Trustees.
