TCNJ Celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Legacy
with guest lecturer Dr. Randal D. Pinkett
Ewing, NJ... Join The College of New Jersey in celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, January 17 at 1p.m. in the Music Building Concert Hall.
Randal Pinkett, president and CEO of BCT Partners, a technology and policy consulting firm in Newark, will lecture on the contemporary nature of Dr. King's struggle. Pinkett, a Rhodes Scholar, is presently completing a book chronicling his experiences as an African American educated in predominantly white institutions. He has been recognized nationally by USA Today, Parade magazine, Black Enterprise magazine, Ebony magazine, as well as Black Entertainment Television (BET) and CNN for his endeavors and his firm belief in giving back to the community.
The lecture will be followed by small group discussions on a variety of related topics. The event is free and open to the public.
**Note: Please be advised that on Monday, January 17, all classes with start times ranging from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. will be rescheduled for Wednesday, January 19 at the same time and same locations. January 17 classes starting prior to 12 p.m. or those beginning at 3:30 p.m. and after will be held at their regularly scheduled times. The Wednesday afternoon meeting schedule is cancelled for January 19.
