School of Business ranks among top schools in Business Week survey

EWING, NJ ... The College of New Jersey's School of Business achieved its first ranking in the Business Week Survey of Best Undergraduate Business Schools, placing 72nd out of the 96 undergraduate business schools that qualified for inclusion in the 2008 survey. The magazine introduced the undergraduate rankings in 2006. Rankings are determined by five factors: a student survey, a recruiter survey, median starting salaries for graduating seniors, the percentage of graduates who go on to top MBA programs, and a measure of academic quality that captures test scores, internship opportunities, class size and student/faculty ratios.

With over 1,000 accredited institutions offering business education in the country, TCNJ is the only school ranked in the prestigious survey that caters exclusively to undergraduate business education.

Interim Dean of the School of Business Dr. Jack V. Kirnan said, "TCNJ's performance is a testament to the outstanding quality of business education provided by the School of Business and the underlying strength and commitment of our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and corporate stakeholders.  On several stand alone measures within the survey -- average starting salaries, program value, and average SAT score -- TCNJ was ranked within the Top 50 business schools.  Such public recognition will further enhance the prestige and value of TCNJ and the School of Business."
