TCNJ will be hosting the Governor’s School of the Arts from Saturday, June 28 through Sunday, July 6.

EWING, NJ … TCNJ will be hosting the Governor’s School of the Arts from Saturday, June 28 through Sunday, July 6. Throughout the week there will be several free performances open to the public:

7/3: 12-1:30 PM – Green Lawn Picnic Series - Jazz, Brass, Percussion & Vocal Ensembles, poetry by Creative Writers - main lawn behind Green Hall

7/3: 7:30-9:30 PM - Vocal Concert - Mayo Concert Hall

7/4: 7:30-9:30 PM – “Coffeehouse” Performance – location TBA

7/6: Festival of the Arts

    •   Visual Arts 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Holman Hall Art Gallery
    •   Music 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Music Building May Concert Hall
    •   Theatre 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Kendall Hall Don Evans Theatre
    •   Video/Film Production 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Kendall Hall Room 129
    •   Dance 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Kendall Hall Main Stage
    •   Creative Writing 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Forcina Hall Room 130

The Governor's School of New Jersey is a unique summer program committed to meeting the educational needs of artistically or academically talented high school students who have completed their junior year. Emphasis is placed on problem solving of complex issues that exist on a local, state, national, and international level, leadership training, and creative expression though the medium of fine and performing arts. The Governor's School is an intensive residential learning experience held on six college campuses throughout the state.
