WTSR Donates Laughs To Audience; Big Check To American Cancer Society

EWING, NJ ... 91.3 FM WTSR, the radio station of The College of New Jersey, has every right to be smiling after it partnered up with Kel Mitchell to host “Laugh In The Face Of Cancer,” a benefit show for the American Cancer Society that showcased ten comedians.

The show was held on the Main Stage of Kendall Hall at The College of New Jersey on Thursday, April 1 to a near sell-out audience. All proceeds from the show, over $2,600 in donations, went to the American Cancer Society. Kel Mitchell, best known as the actor/comedian on Nickelodeon’s “All That” and “Kenan and Kel,” teamed up with comedians Gordon Baker-Bone, Jason Cantor, Rick Cohen, Brandon Gulya, Garrett Hoffman, Noah Houlihan, Boris Khaykin, Adam Mamawala '09, Shelley Synder, and Drew Toresco for a night of laughs and good times.

The night included traditional stand-up acts as well as musical performances on acoustic guitar, even a rap about Kel done by a few of the comedians. The night ended with words from comedian Jason Cantor, who thanked WTSR for their effort in making the show possible and the donation made to the American Cancer Society.

Prior to the show, Mitchell walked throughout the campus signing tickets and his orange soda bottles (a regular routine on the “Kenan and Kel” show) to help promote the event, as well as greet his nostalgic fans.
