It is not necessary to use the official colors in every application. However, where there is no reason to use a different color scheme, use of the official colors will help to strengthen the College's identity. If it is not possible to achieve a correct match with the official colors, then blue and gold should be avoided, as color variances will weaken the identity. When in doubt, submit any color approximations to the Office of College and Community Relations for review. There will be times when it is not practical to print the logo in the standard colors. This does not constitute a license to assign different colors to the logo for individual or departmental use.

Official Blue
The entire logo and wordmark should print in 100 percent of the official blue—PMS 534 C.








Official Gold
The official gold—PMS 132 C—should never be used within the logo. The official gold should only be used in the name of a school or a department where it appears in Joanna Bold. Exception: In certain circumstances, the outline of the shield may be foil stamped (not printed) in gold.

Other One- and Two-Color Applications
When the official blue is not available, the logo should be printed in 100 percent of the darkest color used. No other color printing should be introduced into the logo.









Printing the Logo on Dark Backgrounds
When the logo is to be printed over a dark background, the shield and wordmark should be reversed to the stock color, usually white or cream.

The logo of the College should not be printed over or reversed out of busy photographs or backgrounds.

Medium-dark backgrounds, which allow too little contrast for the logo when treated as either a positive or a negative, should be avoided.
