New Faces, New Places

Since the end of the spring 2005 semester, there have been several key internal staff transitions of which the campus community should be aware:

Effective April 25, 2005, Lisa McCarthy, formerly assistant director for Student Development and Campus Programs, has assumed the role of Interim Director of Alumni Affairs in the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs.

Effective June 20, 2005, Mary Romspert, formerly serving as confidential assistant to the president, is now serving as director of research/executive assistant in the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs.

Effective July 1, 2005, Emmanuel Osagie has been appointed as dean of the School of Business. Formerly, Osagie served as vice provost of the Office of Academic Grants and Sponsored Research.

Effective July 16, 2005, Mary-Elaine Perry, formerly vice president of Student Life, has assumed the role of major gifts officer in the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs. Beth Paul, formerly associate professor of psychology, has stepped in as the acting vice president of Student Life.

Also, Suzanne Pasch, former vice provost for academic programs and initiatives, accepted the position of vice president of academic affairs at Wheelock College in Boston, effective in July 2005.

Also effective for the 2005-06 academic year: serving as interim dean for the School of Science is Deborah Knox. Serving as dean for the School of Education is William Behre.
