                                    October 5: Blue Angel 

Starring Marlene Dietrich, this drama tells the story of Lola Lola, a cafe singer, and her tumultuous relationship with an older professor. Through their love story, we gain a better understanding of the generation gap created by the First World War.

                                October 19: Swing Kids 

How can dancing be a form of protest? Music and politics come between German teens in 1930s Hamburg.

                                        November 2: Das Boot

This World-War-Two drama allows us to experience the raw emotions of a German submarine crew. Starring Jurgen Prochnow in a gripping performance.

                                    November 16: Europa, Europa

A true story about a German-Jewish boy who survives the holocaust by passing as a gentile.

                                        November 30: 1, 2, 3 

Comedy relief! Jimmy Cagney stars in this hilarious cold-war comedy. He’s a Coca Cola salesman in West Berlin, and he must prevent his boss’s daughter from marrying a Marxist and keep the Russians from stealing the secret formula to Coke!
