To All Undergraduate Students Interested in Philosophy:
The College of New Jersey will host an undergraduate philosophy conference on Saturday, February 27, 2010 under the sponsorship of the Greater Philadelphia Philosophy Consortium (GPPC).
This is a great opportunity to showcase your best work in philosophy and compare philosophical notes with students from other colleges and universities. Accepted papers will be published in the Annual Proceedings of the Greater Philadelphia Philosophy Consortium Undergraduate Philosophy Conference. Cash prizes will be awarded for top papers.
You may submit a philosophical essay on any topic. It should be about 2,000 words and suitable for a twenty minute presentation followed by discussion. The deadline for submissions has been extended to January 1, 2010. Please send submissions by email to: jtaylor@tcnj.edu. Papers must be prepared for blind review. Electronic submissions should be sent as .doc, .pdf, or .rtf files. If you are interested in being a commentator (whether or not you submit a paper), please contact James Taylor. Notification of accepted papers will be sent to you by January 30, 2010.
Whether or not you submit a paper, be sure to mark Saturday, February 27, 2010 on your calendar. In addition to student papers, this conference will feature Jesse Prinz, Distinguished Professor of Philosophy at the City University of New York Graduate Center.
