Philanthropy: National Kidney Foundation

As sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma, our vision is to "be a dynamic sisterhood of powerful women fostering uncompromising principles, igniting positive change and embracing individuality." As such, one of our most important Core Values is Leadership through Service. Phi Sigma Sigma believes that a woman who serves is also a woman who leads. By serving others, our members become more valuable citizens, students, parents, workers and community leaders.
The sisters of the Zeta Pi chapter strive to give back to the community in many ways. Our National Philanthropy is the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, which in turn supports the National Kidney Foundation (NKF). One of the events we have each semester is the Rock-a-Thon to support NKF. In doing so, we are able to raise awareness for our cause while raising money to support the foundation.

Community service is another way in which Phi Sigs reach out to the community. This semester, we volunteered at the Trenton Animal Shelter. Also, we host an Elegant Evening at a local Senior Center each semester, a fancy prom-like affair of dancing and fun!
