The Political
Perception Lab (PPL) conducts experimental and survey-based research on the ways
in which people’s prior beliefs affect their understanding of the world around
them. In our lab, we emphasize the way political and religious belief systems
bias and distort peoples’ perceptions of social reality. We are interested in
the antecedents and consequences of these belief systems, and the nature of the
biases associated with them.
