The awards are made primarily on the basis of academic excellence, evidence of commitment to Psychology, financial need, and involvement in campus and community activities. The application is due Noon, Thursday March 1, 2007, submitted to Dr. Howe's mailbox .To be eligible for consideration you must:
1. Be a fully matriculated Psychology major.
2. Have completed at least 16 semester hours of Psychology at TCNJ.
3. Have at least 24 semester hours remaining toward graduation at the start of next academic year.
4. Have earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 in Psychology courses taken at TCNJ and at least a 3.2 cumulative average at TCNJ.

Phi Kappa Phi (TCNJ chapter) Student-Faculty Research Award
Awards $400 each semester to enable students to become involved in research with a faculty member. Students are not required to be members of Phi Kappa Phi.Deadlines: Early November for Spring Semester, early April for Fall Semester

Phi Kappa Phi Graduate Fellowship
This national honor society awards 60 Fellowships of $5,000 and 40 Awards of Excellence of $2000 each for the first year of graduate or professional school. TCNJ is able to nominate one student as its applicant for these awards. Students are not required to be members of Phi Kappa Phi. The selection criteria are:* Scholastic achievement (including grades and test scores)
* Promise of success in graduate or professional work
* Leadership experience (including academic, civic service and leadership outside the classroom)
* Letters of recommendation
* Expression of study and career goals
Applicants for these fellowships must apply for admission to graduate study for academic year 2007-2008. Additional information as well as application forms are available on the Phi Kappa Phi website.
Applications must be submitted no later than December 1, 2006. From among those applications, the local chapter of Phi Kappa Phi will select the student whose application will be sent forward as our institutional nominee. In the past six years, three TCNJ students have won either the fellowship or the award; and so we know that our students make excellent candidates.

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship
Nationally competitive scholarship for students in mathematics, natural sciences, computer science, or engineering. Not intended for students going into medicine unless they are going into medical research. Approximately 300 scholarsips are awarded anuallySupport: Up to $ 7,500 for up to two years
Eligibility: Full time students who apply during their sophomore or junior year (i.e., one or two years before expected date of graduation)
Deadlines: Letter of intent of Dr. Lovett (lovett@tcnj.edu) by early November; draft application by late November.
