Overview
The focus of the Nonprofit Management Program is on relevant management topics of critical value to executives of nonprofit organizations. The program consists of ten modules that cover topics in strategic thinking, leadership, governance/board issues, advocacy/political action, human resources management, marketing/grantsmanship, fundraising, financial analysis, using technology, and program evaluation. The program is limited to 20 attendees.
Benefits of attendance
The certificate program provides valuable skills and techniques that senior nonprofit executives can apply in their organization immediately. Both the participants and their organizations will benefit from this program. The modules are highly interactive and use a variety of learning methods. In addition to lectures, presentations, and demonstrations; the modules provide discussion groups, problem analyses, exercises, best practices, case studies. For each module, participants receive materials to keep as useful, on-the-job resources. Successful participants will receive a Certificate in Nonprofit Management.

Our eighth offering of the program will begin with a reception on March 18, 2008, and run for a total of 10 Wednesdays (March 19 to May 21) from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Applications
Participants are expected to attend all ten modules. The process to select the 2008 attendees will conclude two weeks before the start of the program. The fee for the entire certificate program, consisting of 10 modules, is $1,000 per person. The fee covers all instruction, instructional materials, opening and closing receptions, breakfasts and lunches. We will consider requests for financial assistance with the program fee. Checks are payable to The College of New Jersey and mailed to David Prensky. Payments must be received by March 10.

Opportunities for financial assistance may exist. If you are interested in being considered for such help, please complete the request for financial assistance and submit it with your application. The request for financial assistance is available here. We will attempt to notify those who have applied for financial assistance about whether we are able to provide that help by March 7.
