Placement and Assessment Information

As a student enrolling at The College of New Jersey you may be required to take some placement test(s) and /or Assessment(s) to ensure appropriate course placement in first year courses that will match your knowledge and skills. You and your advisor will use the results of these tests and assessments to select courses at the New Student Orientation Programs.

The College of New Jersey currently administers placement and assessment in Foreign Languages, Calculus, and Writing Assessment.
