Housing Information for New Incoming Freshmen - Fall 2008
All TCNJ first-year students will be living in one of The First Year experience residence halls:
- Travers Hall
- Wolfe Hall
- Cromwell Hall
Within these halls, all first year students will be housed based upon the First-Year Seminar Program (FSP) academic course that they register for at June orientation. With an average class size of 15 students, there will be approximately 3 FSP seminar classes on each residence hall floor. Note: Due to housing placement based upon FSP courses, Housing can not guarantee single gender buildings or floors.
Welcome Packet Information
Welcome Packet Information was mailed on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 to all accepted incoming freshmen. Please note that all communication (except the 2008-2009 Annual Residence Hall and Dining Services Contract) will be communicated electronically, including hall and roommate information.
Timeline
All new incoming freshmen should be aware of the following timeline / process for obtaining campus housing for the 2008-2009 academic year:
Beginning of May - The Housing Assignments office receives the names of all incoming freshmen who have paid their admissions/housing deposit.
Mid to Late May - The Housing Assignments office will mail out Welcome Packets containing application instructions and Annual Residence Hall and Dining Services Contract for all incoming freshmen who have paid their admissions/housing deposit.
Mid to Late May - Freshman Housing Application goes online on the internet. All incoming freshmen interested in campus housing MUST apply online by June 16th 2008.
If you are an incoming freshman (non-transfer), the Fall 2008 Freshman Housing Application link will be active in mid May and remain until June 16th.
Late-July - Early August - Housing Assignment/Roommate Information is communicated electronically to all freshmen who applied for Fall 2008 campus housing.
July 31st - Deadline for all new freshmen to change their meal plan selection.
August 21st - All Freshmen who received a room assignment move into their assigned residence hall rooms starting at 9:00am
