FYE Staffing
Small, Close Communities
As part of our efforts to develop an effective First Year Experience program that devotes sufficient time and energy to each of our residents, we maintain a strong student to staff ratio. Averaging 23 students per 1 undergraduate student staff member has enabled our program to accomplish our goals and offer support to the transitioning first year class.
Dedicated Leadership
In addition to student staff, our program is managed by a team of professional and graduate level staff. The residential aspect of the First Year Experience is managed by the FYE Assistant Director, who supervises the professional Residence Director staff, which oversees the individual buildings. The Residence Directors in turn supervise the undergraduate staff employed in their residence halls.
Strong Support Systems
Each floor in the first year residence halls has two Community Advisors, employed by the Office of Residential and Community Development. In addition, the Bonner Center employs a number of Peer Advisors that assist with coordinating service learning projects for the first year students throughout the academic year. A brief description of each of our staff positions is provided through our Staff Directory.
