Jennifer Massey got snuck!
What happened to Jennifer Massey in the finals of The Apprentice was a complete fiasco. Donald Trump, "ignoring" the advice of his associates Carolyn Kepcher and George Ross for the sake of an extra hour of TV time, said he wasn't sure who to pick as the winner of his contest: Massey or Kelly Perdew. So he turned to a large live audience, and sent out Regis Philbin to interview audience members, asking who they'd choose.It was shameful hearing the audience actually applaud for goofy mugs like Trump's CFO and COO, neither of whom have an ounce of screen presence or can speak a complete intelligible sentence in English, as they stood to praise Perdew. Speaker after speaker chose Perdew over Massey, while Massey sat in an adjacent room, seeing it all and taking it stoically.
I am no fan of Massey myself. Her only gift appears to be that she doesn't suck up, either to Trump or to the other contestants. But Perdew is nothing compared to Bill Rancic and Kwame Jackson, last year's finalists. Perdew would not have lasted through half the season last year. (And correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Perdew mostly praised for being ex-military? And were either Rancic OR Jackson in the military?) Massey was treated shamefully, as though she were some prime-time clown, or (worse yet) window-dressing, instead of a legitimate candidate for a big job.
What worries me most is that executives will follow Trump and try to humilate interviewees. I've already seen it happen, more than once.

Kelly was crap compared to Jennifer? WRONG!!. Massey got what she so richly deserved, and Kelly was the better choice having bested Massey in 10 out of the 14 competitions during The Apprentice, as I recall.Massey received a well-deserved dose of humility, and trust she will learn(If she hasn't already) that an ivy league education isn't everything. Despite what Massey believes, she is just as fallible as the rest of humanity. I admit that she's capable. She's also arrogant and abrasive who uses her charm to get what she wants. If I were truly mean-spirited and cynical (WHICH I AM NOT), I would wonder if Massey ever used her very obvious physical attributes to advance her standing at Princeton, Harvard and at her Law Firm.
I am totally sure that Jennifer would be a much better apprentice than that idiot named Kelly Perdew.
What a pity! Trump definitely doesn't know how wrong he was in his decision. Poor guy...

Jen was humilliated, Donald Trump knows how to build towers but doesn't have any idea how to select people....
Massey got what she deserved. She was not humiliated as far as I am concerned. Despite her impressive credentials, she struck me as a rather abrasive, arrogant individual who almost constantly flaunted her accomplishments. And let us not forget that she lost 10 out of 14 competitions to the so-called idiot Kelly Perdue. I am no fan of Perdue's but the man is hardly an idiot.
I was so impressed at the classy way Jen handled the phony finale. The deck was stacked- only Kelly supporters, with one exception, were invited to speak from the audience. They were all situated in one little group in the front row- what a coincidence! The Levis people (and others) that supported Jen were not invited to speak- another coincidence! The producers knew from the dress rehearsal who the other candidates favored, so instead of asking every one of them, they went to the few who supported Kelly- another coincidence! The finale revealed Trump- and his COO, the one who couldn't get his scripted lies out on camera- for what they really are- dishonest, calculating jerks. Kelly should fit right in with them.

Massey may have handled the phony finale in a classy manner, but she hardly conducted herself as a classy individual before she got what she deserved. She LOST 10 out of 14 times, something that the pro massey supporters conveniently choose not to acknowledge.
i am so upset by donuld trumps choice for his second apprentice. Jennifer had everything and was the most hardworking and capable person of the the two. what crap
Face it Jen Massey lovers. SHE LOST 10 out of 14 times during the course of the series. Why do you insist on ignoring this fact? I am no fan of Perdew, but he won, and the guy is hardly an idiot. Massey was capable, but she lost 10 out of 14 times! That is hardly an impressive track record for a person of her prior accomplishments (Harvard Law School grad and so forth). And HER ABRASIVE CHARACTER HARDLY ENDEARED HER TO ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE ON THE SHOW. That is another fact.
Jennifer lost so much, therefore Kelly won. However, Jennifer can still be successful if she goes on with her law profession. She must be a tough lawyer according to her arguments in the boadroom.
i know jen personally and i think that she has had lots of better oppurtunities come her way than she would if she had won, she is currently a entertainment lawyer living out in LA, california and has worked with Donald Trump on projects a few times since the Apprentice, Perdew was not asked to stick around after his one year was up and their is a good reason why.
