I was once given a rule by folks much wiser than I: when you are estimating how long it will take you to finish a job, always take your original estimate, multiply it by two, add one, and raise to the next higher unit. What you THINK can be done in two days you tell others will be done in five weeks. This way you can at least be sure you will get the two days.Labels: consulting, recommendations
