Icebreakers?
I was asked if I had any ideas for icebreakers for a gathering of accountants and finance people. Geez, I've never even been allowed to enter such a gathering before! (At least, not unattended.) But these were the ideas I came up with.
- The Panel Introduction. If you had a smaller group, you would have attendees pair up and interview one another, and introduce each other to the rest of the group. You can't do that efficiently here. But what you can do is split the group up into fives, and have them introduce one another in the form of a newscast: two are the anchors and report the "news," one the "sports," one the "weather" and one the "traffic." And each of the group members must contribute their info in the form of news, sports, weather and traffic. (I'd actually love to see that. LOL)
- The Open Raffle. Each person who comes must bring a little bitty gift or trinket, to be "raffled" away. Each person also gets one raffle ticket, which is drawn without replacement. So everybody gets a gift from someone else. (You have to make sure any who get the gift they brought either re-draw or trade.)
Can you do me one better?
