Research interests include the structure of consequentialism, the nonidentity problem, expected value and risk, the repugnant conclusion, wrongful life and wrongful disability, abortion, the new reproductive technologies--including human reproductive cloning and supernumerary pregnancy--and other issues bearing on the obligations we have in respect of people who don't yet but will exist. Also, problems of collective harm, the two-envelope problem, the relation between moral theory and the law and the problem of indeterminacy in the law.
