Research interests include the structure of consequentialism, the nonidentity problem, the two-envelope problem, expected value and risk, the repugnant conclusion, wrongful life and wrongful disability, abortion, the new reproductive technologies -- including human reproductive cloning and supernumerary pregnancy -- and other issues bearing on the obligations we have in respect of people who don't yet but will exist.  Also, problems of collective harm, the relation between moral theory and the law and the problem of indeterminacy in the law.
