What is Rebel U?
REBEL U at The College of New Jersey is a statewide, student-led, anti-tobacco movement with chapters in all 21 counties through the Communities Against Tobacco Coalitions. Organized through the Alcohol & Drug Education Program Office (ADEP), REBEL U works to bring anti-tobacco initiatives to both the college campus and its local community. Members of REBEL U are lively, dedicated individuals with a passion to prevent further loss of life due to tobacco related instances. REBEL U offers support and resources for those who wish to quit smoking.

Successes
- Passing of the Smoke Free Dorms Bill signed by Governor Codey on August 22, 2005
- Coordinated with NJ Colleges at REBEL Consortium Meetings to promote anti-tobacco across the state
- Certification in Advocacy 101 by NJ Institute for Continuing Education in Tobacco
- Promotion of the TCNJ Chapter of REBEL U throughout the campus community via Kick Butts Day

Objectives
- Establish REBEL as a student organization recognized by Campus Activities at The College of New Jersey.
- Orchestrate monthly social programs in residence halls regarding tobacco education and cessation.
- Implement state-wide Makeover-U initiative and support NJquit2WIN.com
- Publicize local cessation resources and recruit REBEL members.
- Support the Wellness Program at The College of New Jersey.
- Design and compile public service announcements for local media.
