Peer Educator Profiles

Michelle Gervasi

Hi!  My name is Michelle Gervasi, and I am the Program Assistant for the Office of Anti-Violence Initiatives, the Alcohol Drug Education Program and the Office of Differing Abilities. I recently graduated from TCNJ in May 2008, and my time here as a student was some of the best years of my life! While a student at TCNJ, I majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology and Women and Gender Studies.  I was an active sister of Zeta Tau Alpha and volunteered all throughout my four years with the Office of Anti-Violence Initiatives as a member of the planning committees for Domestic Violence Awareness Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.   I am also an advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault for Mercer County.

Lynette Barnes

My name is Lynette Barnes, and I am Junior here at TCNJ. I am a Psychology major with two minors: one in Women and Gender Studies and the other in Finance. I currently serve as a Senator of Culture and Society for the Student Government Association. This is my second year as a Peer Educator!! I seriously enjoy helping people, hence the major. I have a twin that also attends TCNJ, and I love OREOS!!! Don't be afraid to say, "Hi" if you see me! =)

My name is Elise Dilger, and I'm from Medford in South Jersey. I am a senior Graphic Design major at TCNJ. During the school year, I am Historian of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, and I work as an intern designing wedding invitations and greeting cards. This is my first year working as a Peer Educator, and I'm really excited to get involved. After graduation this year, I plan to work as a designer in New York or New Jersey for a couple of years before hopefully moving to the West Coast.

Andy Flexon

I am currently a sophomore Accounting major who is exploring options for a business minor. I live in Norsworthy Hall with my fellow Peer Educator Eric Goldwaser. I am what some people might like to call a "Philadelphia sports fanatic." I love to play and/or watch all sports, no matter what they are. Besides sports, I am really into roller coasters, theme parks, and country music. I played varsity golf all four years of high school, and now, I am on several intramural teams.

Eric Goldwaser

Hi, my name is Eric. I am a sophomore Biology major and Spanish minor. Aside from academia being one of the biggest parts of my life, soccer is my passion above all else. I've played it my whole life and continue here at the College playing for the varsity team as goalkeeper. I also enjoy tennis and skiing. I am involved with several Jewish organizations on campus (Chabad being one of the biggest), and I was one of the first members of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity (of which I am the co-social chair). I am republican and interested in going into the medical field after college. I am pretty outgoing and a great conversationalist. My favorite animal is the penguin, and blue is my favorite color. I like to dance and love anything that has to do with Argentina. I am very open to trying new things and traveling.

I am a very active participant in the music program and love being a Peer Educator!!  I am super excited to be student teaching during the fall semester!!
