My name is Angela Chen and I am a sophomore at TCNJ. I am majoring in psychology with a minor in fine arts. I dream of helping people through therapy, creating cool art, becoming fluent in Chinese and Spanish, and visiting all 7 continents. I love to paint, travel, play Ultimate Frisbee, do yoga, hang out with my dog, and climb trees. I also enjoy being involved on campus and am a leader in Habitat for Humanity and Amnesty International. I am friendly, dedicated, fun, understanding, and would love to talk to any students about what they are going through. Through the CAPS Peer Educator program I would like to reach out to students by sharing my experiences, offering advice, and making a difference in our community.

My name is Jamie DiOrio and I'm a junior here at TCNJ. I am currently majoring in Psychology (Clinical/Counseling Concentration) with a minor in Communication Disorders. My future career plans are to go to graduate school for Clinical Psychology and hopefully become a practicing clinical psychologist. Some of my hobbies include spending time at the beach, scrapbooking, taking road trips, and spending as much time as possible with my friends. I knew that I wanted to become a CAPS Peer Educator as soon as I heard about the program. I loved the idea of a group of students who put on programs in order to inform their peers about tips and resources that can help them maintain a healthy lifestyle. I also thought that it would give me valuable experience with listening to and helping people who might be struggling. It feels great to be a part of such a positive, goal-oriented organization.

My name is Meagan Docherty. I am a junior Psychology major with a Clinical and Counseling concentration, looking to double major with Sociology. I am a CA on Travers 1, a DJ and former Board member for WTSR, and a member of the REACH lab. I am also part of the TCNJ Honors program and Psi Chi, the National Honor Society for Psychology. I volunteer for various organizations, including Contact of Mercer County, Hospice of NJ, and my home town's fire department. I like listening to music, singing and dancing, drawing and painting, reading, and playing Rock Band. I became a CAPS Peer Educator so that I could be a resource to my fellow students by doing something that I love.

My name is Samantha Kee, a senior biomedical engineering, electrical option major here at TCNJ. I hope to combine my engineering based mind, appreciation of art, and love for helping others within the field of dentistry in the future. Besides being a Peer Educator, I’m Liaison to the Pre-Dental Society and an active member of BMES. I’m easy going and approachable; I like to live life with the perspective of trying anything once. In my spare time, I like to play the piano, bake desserts, take care of my pet chinchilla, and spend time with my family and friends. I became a Peer Educator because I wanted a way to connect with people and learn, as well as teach, others about the issues concerning our overall health and well being.

My name is Jackie Levowsky and I am currently a junior at TCNJ.  I am a Health and Exercise Science major with a minor in Psychology with future career plans to move onto graduate school and get a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  I am also a member of the TCNJ Varsity Women’s Soccer team.  I got involved with CAPS Peer Educators because I think the program as a whole has a great goal in mind and I think that the knowledge of mental health and wellness I gain from this experience will really benefit me and my plans to help others in the future.

My name is Jennifer Mangin (Jenn for short) and I am sophomore at TCNJ. I recently have switched from Open Options to Psychology and Elementary Education majors. Down the road I would like to become involved with animal assisted therapy to help children with special needs. Some of my hobbies include hiking, tennis, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Most people would describe me as the friendly, talkative, animal lover with curly hair! Besides being blessed with the gift of the gab, I am also a great listener. I decided to become a CAPS Peer Educator because I firmly believe in what they do and I know from personal experience that seeking help out from others has helped me become the person that I am today.

My name is Rawinder Parmar, and I am a junior at TCNJ. I am a biology major, and am pursuing the pre-med track. Aside from being a CAPS Peer Educator, I am the community service officer of the Minority Association of Pre-Health Students, volunteer EMT-B on the Lions EMS squad, and member of Best Buddies. Some of my hobbies include: reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  I decided to become a CAPS Peer Educator because it is a great program that allows me to reach out to TCNJ students and help them in areas concerning health and wellness.

My name is Gina and I'm a senior biology major. After graduation I plan to start working and eventually attend graduate school. In my spare time I like playing the piano, rock climbing, bird watching, hanging out with my friends and family, reading, or going shopping! I also love taking care of my pets and being a positive member of the community. I became a CAPS Peer Educator because I love psychology and I think it's important for us to understand ourselves and to help others understand themselves so that we can all become comfortable being in our own skin. I bring an open mind to the table and I understand the struggles that college life entails. I hope to bring some peace, love, and happiness to the TCNJ community with the CAPS Peer Educator team!

I'm Alex, a junior Psychology major with a concentration in Clinical and Counseling. I am also minoring in Deaf Studies and Visual Arts here at TCNJ. I live and breathe psychology by doing everything from working in the labs with Dr. Hughes to being the founding president of Active Minds here on campus. When I don't have my nose in a book, you can find me at the Packer pool swimming laps like any good swim instructor should be. I'm your typical jersey girl who loves the beach, laughing with friends, and enjoying life. I love talking to people, but I am an even better listener so feel free to ask me anything. Don't be shy, I don't bite and would love to hear from you!

Hi! My name is Tanisha Proverbs and I am a Junior at TCNJ. I am a psychology major and a women and gender studies minor. In the near future I would love to be accepted into a graduate school counseling program. In the far future I would love to work as a counselor of children. Some of my hobbies are reading, watching food network, watching movies, and most importantly spending time with my family and friends. I decided to become a CAPS Peer Educator because I wanted to be a source to other students about mental health in a way that could improve their lives and my own.
