How to become a CAPS Peer Educator:

Requirements of a CAPS Peer Educator
- Sophomore or older by Fall '12
- GPA of at least 3.0
- Have no significant judicial history
- Available for at least a full academic year commitment
- Available for approximately 3-5 hours/week
- Attend weekly 90-minute Peer Education meetings/trainings (Wednesdays 3:30-5:00 pm starting Fall semester)
- Attend the 2-3 day NJ Peer Institute training in late May to obtain national certification
- Attend a full-day training before the start of Fall Semester '12
- Complete an on-line application form (recommendation forms are optional)
- Upon receipt of your application, we will select students for an in-person interview
- Deadline for ’12-’13 applications: Friday, February 17, 2012 at 4:30 P.M.
