Our Mission:
The Office of Differing Abilities Services (ODAS) is in place to further extend the mission of The College of New Jersey and the mission of The Division of Student Affairs to persons with disabilities.
The Office of Differing Abilities Services advocates for campus disability awareness, understanding and inclusion through education, counseling, and service in an effort to provide persons with disabilities and their advocates an opportunity to demonstrate and achieve social justice and equality.
Expertise and leadership are put forth in collaboration with campus constituents and external constituents to assist with their accommodation obligations that promote universal access to college learning, working, and living for persons with disabilities.
Facilities Available to Student with Disabilities
The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) makes continuous efforts to meet and exceed guiding laws and regulations for facilities access for campus constituents with disabilities. Overall the TCNJ campus facilities are accessible to persons with disabilities.
For individualized disability access to specific campus events, persons with disabilities can communicate with the event sponsors. General disability access consultation is available through The Office of Differing Abilities Services, during regular college business hours. At other times, for college facilities access or concerns, persons with disabilities can contact Facilities (609-771-2353) and/or Campus Police (609-771-2345) or tcnjpd@tcnj.edu for assistance.
Each institution must make available to prospective and enrolled students information about facilities and services accessible to students with disabilities, including students with intellectual disabilities.
