Sale of Food, Services, or Merchandise
No student or student organization may serve as the agent or representative of any off-campus agency for the purpose of selling or promoting the sale of foods, services, or merchandise on The College of New Jersey campus unless approval is given for sale of items. This includes items produced by the student organization. Individual or periodic sales may be approved, but restrictions may be imposed on continuing sales. Any food, services, or merchandise that make references to pornography, illegal drugs, or alcohol are not allowed to be sold or displayed on The College of New Jersey campus.
Students or student organizations who wish to sponsor fund-raising activity must complete an application form, available from the Office of Conference and Meeting Services located on the second floor of the Brower Student Center. The student or representative should discuss the event with the secretary when he or she picks ups the application form. If sales are to take place in residence halls, the approval and signatures of the area director of that particular area must be obtained. Fund-raising activities in violation of the contract with the food service vendor or with the vending machine company or those that may interfere with or detract from the sale of goods in The College store are not permitted unless prior permission and the necessary signatures are obtained. The completed application with all required signatures must be returned to the Office of Conference and Meeting Services (www.tcnj.edu/~cms/) for final approval.
