About the Travers & Wolfe Fitness Center

The Travers & Wolfe Fitness Center (TWFC), in conjunction with the Physical Enhancement Center, offers a wide range of classes which can include step, kickboxing, self-defense, yoga, and basic aerobic workouts.  These classes are taught by certified fitness instructors and are offered to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Classes begin Tuesday September 7, 2010 and are free to try out for the first week (Sept. 7-14).

 

Classes cost $15 per semester, $25 for the full school year and can be paid for to the instructor at class.

Class Descriptions

Cardio Step:

Burn calories and get your heart
pumping in this class using classic step sets

Boot Camp: Get back to basics in this hard-core
class that will kick you into shape

BLT:

Work your Buns, Legs, and Thighs with intense
and targeted reps

Belly Dancing: A fun way to stay fit while learning a
beautiful art form

Total Body Conditioning: Learn to target every
muscle group through weight training & bodyweight
exercises

 

Pilates:

Tone your body with moves that strengthen
& make you feel great

Flex & Tone: Gain flexibility & tone your body with
exercises you can take back to your dorm room

Core & Dance Cardio:

Learn cool hip-hop
choreography while getting a total body workout

Zumba: Dance your way through exciting routines
for a fun & upbeat workout

Yoga & Core Flow:

A challenging and spiritual
workout to help you become flexible while building
stamina & strength

Yoga:

Learn to focus and gain breath awareness
while strengthening the body and mind

Tone and Sculpt:

Burn fat and build muscle in this
intense class
