If you know the name of the program you're looking for, click ALL in the left column, then select and of the icons in the right column. On the keyboard press the first letter of the application name to quickly jump closer to the application.
Start --> Run --> and type in NAL then press OK
To make a desktop shortcut to a SAL applacation simply drag and drop the application icon from the Application Explorer to your desktop
