Her current product is a black on white braille ribbon lapel pin, much like the pink ribbon pins used to promote breast cancer. With the help of the NJSBDC Director, Ms. Miller secured both a $10,000 grant for adaptive technology/equipment and a $1,500 start-up grant from the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired as well as was approved for and received a $4,000 loan from the Regional Business Assistance Corporation (RBAC) for the starting pin inventory. With pre-commitments of national sales and the combined efforts of the multiple agencies, Kim's company has been "en-abled" to hit the ground running.
"My experience with the NJSBDC has been outstanding. I would not have gotten this far without this office . It is truly a sensational asset to me, my company and will be to countless others." -Kim Miller
