Facilities

The School has recently constructed two new science facilities-the Biology Building and the Science Complex (housing the Departments of Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics and Physics). Renovations are underway to accommodate the Computer Science Department in their expanded space in Holmann Hall. The three buildings feature the latest scientific instrumentation, including scanning and electron microscopes, confocal microscopes, spectrophotometers, a gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer, a liquid chromatograph, two Fourier transform infrared spectrometers, and a gel-permeation chromatograph (coming soon - make this list more equitable between all 5 departments). Well-appointed instructional computer laboratories are available in the Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics Departments, each with twenty to thirty student computer workstations and access to appropriate discipline-specific software. Each building also features public areas for study, relaxation, and social activities.
