School of Science Carnival
The School of Science Student Advisory Board invites the entire campus community to celebrate Spring at the first annual Spring Carnival.
Ever wanted to walk on water or throw syringe darts? Interested in winning free prizes? How about munching on popcorn and cotton candy in the company of awesome science majors? Then come join the School of Science for an afternoon of food, games, music and fun at the first ever Spring Carnival on Wednesday, April 14th from 12-3 p.m.
Open to the entire campus, this absolutely free event will be held around the Science Complex fountain and feature a variety of activities sponsored by School of Science clubs and organizations. Among the many games are:
- “Walk on Water” Experiment: SCA and Gamma Gamma Sigma
- “Beanbag Toss”: Pre-Dental Association
- “Glove Pop Game”: Tri-Beta National Biological Society
- “Jewelry and Magnet Making”: Women in Computing Sciences
- “Medical Twister”: Pre-SOMA
- “Medical Pong” Trivia Game: American Medical Student Association
- “Launch Game”: Physics Club
- “Bottle Rocket Competition” and “Astronomical Observing”: Astronomy Club
- “Human Binary Arithmetic”: ACM and UPE
- “Guess the Number of M&Ms”: Math/Stat Club
Prizes include gift certificates to local businesse, goggles, beaker mugs, and a host of other exciting rewards for just participating.
