Addison-Wesley's Java Backpack Reference Guide by Computer Science Assistant Professor Peter DePasquale Now Available
Addison-Wesley recently published Dr.
DePasquale's first book - Addison-Wesley's Java Backpack
Reference Guide. The 93 page guide provides a handy
reference to the Java programming language for introductory programming
students at the collegiate level. The Backpack Reference will be bundled
with numerous Addison-Wesley offerings in their Java catalog starting
in the Spring 2005 semester. Dr. DePasquale is currently working on
a C++ version of the Backpack Reference Guide due to be released in
May 2005.
According to the website (http://www.aw-bc.com/catalog/academic/product/0,1144,0321304276,00.html),
this book provides a quick reference to Java's most frequently used
keywords and APIs. It is clear and easy-to-use, integrating syntax
examples, keyword descriptions, and programming tips in a way that
will make it the must-have reference in your backpack. This inexpensive
reference provides a lot of information for the introductory and intermediate
programming student or someone who just wants the specifics of Java
in one handy place.
