Mathematics Student Speaks at National Convention in Texas

Karen McCready, a senior MATA major, is presentating a paper that she co-authored at the national joint meeting of the American Mathematics Society and Mathematics Association of America this January in San Antonio Texas. The title of Karen's presentation is "Generalizing Kirk-Livingston Type 1 Link Invariants".  This paper was co-authored by Matthias L Youngs of the State University of New York at Geneseo.

During the Fall 2005 semester Karen attended the Mathematics Advanced Study Semester program at Penn State University. Only a dozen mathematics majors from colleges around the nation are invited to participate in this program.
