Dr.Zheng's Work Recognized Internationally

The work of Dr.Qifu Zheng of the Mathematics & Statistics Department, which recently appeared in the journal "Advances of Applied Mathematics" has already had an impact on the mathematical world.  Dr.Zheng's paper, entitled "The Determinant of a Hypergeometric Period Matrix and a Generalization of Selberg's integral", was addressed by Prof.Ole Warnaar of the University of Melbourne in Australia.  Dr. Warnaar submitted a paper to the same journal in which he proves that the theorems Dr. Zheng established in his paper can be imitated to obtain further results in applied mathematics. Dr. Zheng's paper was written in collaboration with Dr. Donald Richards of Pennsylvania State University.
